East Providence, RI: United Methodist Elder Care is celebrating National Nursing Home Week at Linn Health Care Center in East Providence on Tuesday, May 16th at 2:00 pm
All veterans who reside and work at the East Providence nursing home and retirement center/assisted living facilities will participate in this affair.
This event is free and open to the public.
There will be a flag raising ceremony with the 2nd Battalion, 417th Regiment, 4th Brigade,
95th Division, to honor the American Spirit and the diversity of our community
Patriotic songs will be performed by the Time and Again Chorus, which consists of residents from Linn Health Care Center, Winslow Gardens etirement and Assisted Living, and Arbor Hill Assisted Living, under the direction of Joyce Buxton. Original patriotic poetry will be recited by local poet, Margie Rieske.
