Concert by student band will benefit Cape Cod???s community radio station and the Academy Playhouse

Provincetown, MA, May 17, 2017: WOMR and the Academy of Performing Arts will present a special evening of jazz and blues at 7:00 pm on Friday June 9th at The Playhouse Academy, 120 Main Street in Orleans, the radio station announced today. Cape Cod???s multi-talented student band Bleu Music, featuring former members of Good Question, will be performing with a special appearance by vocalist Chev Hardy.

Bleu Music??is a group of dynamic student musicians who play a repertoire of fusion jazz, funk and blues. They also play popular standards from artists like Van Morrison, John Mayer, and??Dave Matthews, as well as some original songs.

The band ranges from ages 14 to 17. Dylan Routhier (flute & piano), and Keb Hutchings-McMahon (acoustic and electric guitar) have played at the South East Regional All State competition, First Night Chatham and as part of the CJazz Conservatory Jazz Ensemble. Ben Andrade (drums) and Ethan Zayatz (bass) are also part of Bleu Music.????

???These guys played last spring at Preservation Hall in Wellfleet and blew everyone away while channeling ???Cannonball??? Adderly and Miles Davis,??? said John Braden, WOMR???s Executive Director.

Jazz vocalist Chev Hardy evokes the greats like Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, and Billie Holiday. She has performed at a number of venues on Cape Cod, including the 2017 Cape Cod Women???s Music Festival at the Cape Playhouse in Dennis. ???Chev is an excellent singer, as anyone who has heard her knows, and she???s a great addition to the band,??? added Braden.
