???Our guests come to us looking for something more than you can find at a traditional agricultural fair,??? said Brian Harvard, General Manager for the Faire. ???They want to escape the modern world for the day and be surrounded by interactive entertainment they can participate in.???

And all the Faire is a stage.

The Connecticut Renaissance Faire transports visitors to an enchanted recreation of an old-world harvest festival as one might have been during the Renaissance. Here they???ll see jousting knights, live-flight birds of prey, magic, street musicians, comedy, fire eaters, singing, armored combat, dancing, charming shops, 11 stages of continuous entertainment, food, pubs, contests, games and more.

???One of the many popular attractions at the Faire includes the joust which happens twice each day,??? adds Harvard. ???Charging knights experience the equivalent of a 30 mph car crash with each impact from a lance. Sometimes this sends them flying from their horse.???

No Renaissance Faire is complete without turkey legs, artisan demonstrations, and ice-cold Thimble Island Brewing Company craft beer (Branford, CT). There is something for almost everyone at The Connecticut Renaissance.

About the Connecticut Renaissance Faire

The Connecticut Renaissance Faire is an enchanted recreation of what a harvest festival might have been like in during the Middle Ages. Since 1999, this family event has taken guests on a magical journey back in time to a land filled with pageantry, real jousting knights, archery and birds of prey demonstrations, continuous themed shows, shopping, dancing, live music, feasting, craft brews, games and more. This year the festival finds a new home on the Lebanon Fairgrounds every Saturday and Sunday, PLUS Labor Day and Columbus Day from September 2 to October 9. www.ctfaire.com
