We asked for your opinion, and you answered! Our “greatest hits” activities in Discovery Studio, the Museum’s open-ended art and science exploration space, will feature favorite throw-back activities from Discovery Studio programming. All of your favorite creating and exploring can be re-discovered during this week of program legacies!

Discovery Studio gets a little spooky! Dress up and dive in to some frightful fun with creative Halloween activities.

Play and Learn: Fall

Tuesday, October 24 •  10:00 AM – Noon

Play and Learn is the Museum’s open-ended story-based program especially for 2- to 4-year-olds and their parents, designed to help preschoolers build their skills in a variety of areas and to help parents continue the learning at home. Today’s Play and Learn is bobbing for apples! Go “bobbing” for apples while practicing hand-eye coordination and gross motor skills.

Toddler Try It: Spooky Studio

Discovery Studio gets a little spooky! Dive in to some frightful fun with creative Halloween activities.

Nori’s Boo Bash

Saturday, October 28 & Sunday, October 29  •  9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Join a watchful, whiskery dragon named Nori for a weekend of thrilling art making, games and presentations. There is something for everyone ages 1-11! Come in costume and have a blast at the biggest Halloween bash around!

Creepy Critters with Dave Marchetti

Saturday, October 28  •  11:00AM & 1:00 PM

Lizards and snakes and frogs, oh my! Kids come in costume and meet some captivating critters – prickly, hairy but not too scary! Have close encounters with furry friends, slithering snakes and other incredible creatures and learn fascinating facts about them from animal expert Dave Marchetti of Animal Experiences. Performances at 11:00 AM & 1:00 PM.

Providence Children’s Museum – play is powerful!

The Museum is located at 100 South Street in Providence’s Jewelry District.  September through March, open Tuesday through Sunday and Monday school holidays, 9 AM to 6 PM, and selected Fridays until 8 PM.  April through August, open 7 days.  Programs are free with Museum admission of $9.00 per person; always free for Museum members.  Call (401) 273-KIDS or visit
