“Our first event as part of this new series was completely sold out, so my concerns about people coming out on a Monday night for a theatrical event were clearly unfounded,” said Theatre By The Sea owner and producer Bill Hanney. “I am thrilled that we are able to host such an extraordinary illusionist at Theatre By The Sea! I am certain that those in attendance will be talking about Ms. Dillies’ performance for years to come.”

Master Illusionist: Lyn Dillies is the most highly acclaimed female illusionist in magic history. Her captivating stage show is one for the ages – all ages, in fact. Infusing all the spectacle and flash of Vegas into an enchanting, family-friendly event, Lyn’s spellbinding illusions put standing-room-only audiences on the edge of their seats and in the palm of her hand.

From the grandeur of New York’s Lincoln Center to Hollywood’s Magic Castle, rave reviews accompany her powerful brand of mystery and illusion. Dillies dazzles, amazes and astounds with some of the most masterful, mind-blowing illusions in magic today.

To watch show-stopping, award-winning illusionist Lyn Dillies at work, it’s hard to believe she was once a painfully shy little girl, but it’s true. It wasn’t until Bill Bixby came along as TV’s “The Magician” that Lyn’s life was changed forever.  She may have only been 12, but there was no questioning her destiny to become not only a first-rate illusionist, but undeniably one of the finest, most-respected illusionists in the world.

Lyn’s spectacular, eye-defying illusions have been astounding audiences for over two decades. She created magic history by being the only illusionist before or since to make two live Asian elephants appear in succession. This incredible feat was accomplished outdoors, in front of an audience of her peers for the grand opening of the Buttonwood Park Zoo in New Bedford, MA.

In 2013 she was the first female illusionist in history to receive the prestigious Milbourne Christopher Award – the Academy Award of magic – from the Society of American Magicians (past recipients have included David Copperfield, Penn and Teller, and Siegfried and Roy), and the Merlin Award for Female Illusionist of the Year from the International Magician’s Society in 2009.

Lyn has made numerous television appearances and has shared the stage with such notable entertainers as Marvin Hamlisch, Jeff Dunham, Bill Engval and Mikhail Baryshnikov.

Audiences are invited to enhance their theatre experience by dining in the casual, contemporary and creative atmosphere of Bistro by the Sea, just a short stroll down the arbor walk adjacent to the theatre.

Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made via Table Up or by calling (401) 789-3030.

Before or after the meal theatergoers can enjoy the lush seaside gardens, which contain over 300 varieties of perennials, grasses, shrubs and climbing plants, which offer a magical environment for flower lovers of all ages.
