Prescription for Parents at the Weaver Library
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. – CVS Health ???Pharmacists Teach??? will lead a program to educate parents and caregivers about prescription drug abuse at the Weaver Library on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 7 pm.
Led by a pharmacist, Prescription for Parents discusses commonly abused drugs as well as how to identify the signs of drug misuse and abuse. It also provides helpful tips and tools parents need to effectively communicate the risks of prescription drugs to their kids.
The presentation includes a powerful video of real life stories and concludes with the opportunity to ask questions of the presenting pharmacist.
Sponsored by the East Providence Prevention Coalition and the East Providence Public Library, Prescription for Parents is the second in a series of programs to inform and increase the community???s understanding of the national and local overdose epidemic.
The third presentation, which will be held on Tuesday, November 27th at 6 pm, is an interactive program for teens who can also earn community service by their participation.
