NORTON PUBLIC LIBRARY

JANUARY HIGHLIGHTS

E NORTON PUBLIC LIBRARY

SILLY SCIENCE

Join us on Monday January 14, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Community Room for Silly Science.  Silly Science and Mystical Math is a monthly STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math) program for children ages 3.5 through 6.  Presented by Gina McGarrigle and Marsha Wright from Self Help Inc. CFCE.

VACATION BRAINSTORMING

Kids and teens from 4th grade-12th grade, come on Monday January 14, 2019 from 5:30 PM-6:30 PM in the Community Room and meet your new Youth Services Librarian, Leah, brainstorm events for February vacation, share your dreams and ideas for the library, play games, and make friends while making a difference. Peanut-free snacks are welcome, and we’ll provide some, too.

JUNIOR FRIENDS

The Junior Friends of the Norton Library is a community service group designed to let youth take an active role in library programming, promotion, fundraising, and decision-making. Members will have opportunities to help improve the library by decorating the Children’s Room, keeping the children’s and young adult book collections tidy, planning events, contributing to book, music, movie, and video game selection, and more.

MLK DAY

The library will be closed on January 21, 2019 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

NORTON MOM’S

Join us on Wednesday January 16, 2019 from 10:30 AM-11:30 AM in the Community Room when Norton MOMS Club presents Miss Chrissy’s Melody & Motion.  Meet up with the Norton MOMS Club to dance, sing, play, and learn with Miss Chrissy! Enjoy silly songs, movement, shaker eggs, dancing scarves, rhythm sticks, fingerplay, sign language, story time and more at this action-packed program geared toward kids ages 0-5 and their caregivers.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about the Norton MOMS Club, this is a great chance.

Open to all–you do not have to be a member (or even a mom) to come to this event.
