Museum of Work & Culture Presents 4th Annual Exhibit by Local Art Group??
(WOONSOCKET, R.I.) ??? The Museum of Work & Culture is proud to present The Art Group of Northern Rhode Island???s 4th Annual Gallery Exhibition in its changing gallery.
This multimedia show featuring more than thirty-five works by ten local artists will be on display in the Museum of Work & Culture Gallery through Friday, August 12.
The public is also invited to meet the artists at their opening reception on Sunday, July 10 from 1-3pm.
The Art Group of Northern Rhode Island seeks to provide a space for local artists to showcase their work. The members of the Art Group practice in a variety of media including: oil and acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, pen and ink, photography, collage, mixed media, and sculpture.??
Admission to the museum is $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors.

About the Rhode Island Historical Society
Founded in 1822, the RIHS is the fourth-oldest historical society in the United States and is Rhode Island???s largest and oldest historical organization, as well as its only Smithsonian Affiliate. In Providence, the RIHS owns and operates the John Brown House Museum, a designated National Historic Landmark, built in 1788; the Aldrich House, built in 1822 and used for administration and public programs; and the Mary Elizabeth Robinson Research Center, where archival, book, and image collections are housed. In Woonsocket, the RIHS manages the Museum of Work and Culture, a community museum examining the industrial history of northern Rhode Island and of the workers and settlers, especially French-Canadians, who made it one of the state???s most distinctive areas.
