WARWICK, R.I., Sept. 8, 2016 – The MS Jet Pull is a mighty tug of war with you and 24 of your friends and relatives on one side and an enormous FedEx 757 on the other! The 10th annual MS Jet Pull to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will be September 24, 2016, at T. F. Green Airport in Warwick, R.I.

The MS Jet Pull provides a unique physical challenge as pullers can use only their hands as they grasp a rope tied to the front of the jet and heave the 757 across the tarmac. Register your team today! Gather 24 friends, family members, coworkers, neighbors, and others! Each participant only has to meet a $60 fundraising minimum.

If you don???t have enough members on your team, we???ll help by grouping you with other motivated individuals who want to do something about multiple sclerosis. Funds raised by the MS Jet Pull help the National Multiple Sclerosis Society help everyone affected by MS to live their best lives as we stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost, and end MS forever.

Event awards will honor many participating teams in categories such as the coveted fastest pull and most team spirit awards.

Our teams like to get creative and have fun with their costumes ??? from gladiators and Spartans to superheroes and even angels.??

The first pull takes place at 10 a.m., and the action will continue throughout the day. When a team registers, they choose a window of time so they are only required to commit to three hours on event day. Spectators are invited to cheer on the teams. No animals are permitted for their own safety, in keeping with airport rules.

We???d like to thank our partners T.F. Green Airport and FedEx.

ABOUT MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS

Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Symptoms vary from person to person and range from numbness and tingling, to walking difficulties, fatigue, dizziness and pain, to depression, blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are leading to better understanding and moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million worldwide.

ABOUT THE NATIONAL MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY

The Society mobilizes people and resources so that everyone affected by multiple sclerosis can live their best lives as we stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost, and end MS forever. ??To fulfill this mission, the Society funds cutting-edge research, drives change through advocacy, facilitates professional education, collaborates with MS organizations around the world, and provides services designed to help people with MS and their families move their lives forward. Last year alone, through our comprehensive nationwide network, the Society devoted $122.2 million to help more than one million individuals connect to the people, information and resources they need. To move closer to a world free of MS, the Society also invested $54 million to support more than 380 new and ongoing research projects around the world.
