Kids complete different engineering challenges using simple household items.?? Build amazing structures using only cardboard squares, construct towers with popsicle sticks and clothespins, and create contraptions from paper tubes and straws.

Children ages 3 and up listen to and participate in the telling of silly stories written by popular children???s book author Mo Willems.
Animal Adventures????????????????????????????

Create critters and craft wild habitats for animal play in Discovery Studio, the Museum???s art and science exploration space.?? Browse books to learn to identify different animal tracks and stamp a path of animal footprints.
Play and Learn: Ramps and Balls
Tuesday, May 2?? ????? 10:00 AM – Noon
Play and Learn is the Museum???s open-ended story-based program especially for 2- to 4-year-olds and their parents, designed to help preschoolers build their skills in a variety of areas and to help parents continue the learning at home.?? This week, preschoolers practice problem solving as they build ramps and towers and experiment with rolling balls.
Toddler Try-It: Bear Count
Friday, May 5?? ????? 10:00 AM – Noon
Young children, ages 18 months to 3 years, use real tools and explore the creative process as they delve into different hands-on art and science activities each Friday morning.?? This week, toddlers count and categorize a colorful array of bears and float boats to see how many bears they can carry.??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
No Time to Waste ??????
Saturday, May 6 & Sunday, May 7?? ????? 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Kids and adults learn what’s so funny about trash during an interactive family comedy that gives a lighthearted look at the three R???s of protecting the environment ??? reducing, reusing and recycling.?? Four 20-minute shows at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM; recommended for ages 5 and up.

Providence Children???s Museum ??? play is powerful!
The Museum is located at 100 South Street in Providence???s Jewelry District.?? September through March, open Tuesday through Sunday and Monday school holidays, 9 AM to 6 PM, and selected Fridays until 8 PM.?? April through August, open 7 days.??
