Did you know that volunteers are the heart and soul of Hospice care? As a Hospice volunteer, you will be an integral member of our interdisciplinary team comprised of a medical director, nurses, social workers, spiritual coordinator and support staff who provide a continuum of Palliative and Hospice care services. Together, they address the physical, emotional, social, spiritual??caregiving, nutritional, safety and other needs of our patients.??
Our focus is on care and comfort with the ultimate goals of providing quality of life as seen through the eyes of the patient – in any setting – private home, hospital, assisted living facility or nursing home.

Hospice volunteers help in many ways, including providing:
- companionship to patients through conversation, reading,??letter writing, music appreciation, movie/TV watching,??walking or sitting outside, as well as sharing hobbies
- helping patients and their families by running errands,
doing light household chores and yard work, and even
caring for pets - offering respite to family caregivers, so they may take
a break from their caregiving duties??administrative support/light office/clerical work to various??agency departments
