Annual Members Exhibition

New Bedford Art Museum/ArtWorks! (NBAM/AW!) is seeking artists to have their artwork showcased in our Annual Members Exhibit.
This year, the Members Exhibition is taking over our main gallery ??? Skylight Gallery! Large works and installations are encouraged.
In previous years the exhibition was held in our Heritage Gallery where only 20 works were admitted into the exhibition. This year about 40 ??? 50 works will be accepted.
ELIGIBILITY
Artists must be NBAM/AW! Members.

Each artist may submit up to three pieces for consideration. No size limitations, though the Museum reserves the right to edit the juror???s selections if space dictates.

ELECTRONIC ENTRIES
All entries must be submitted electronically. There is no registration form this year ??? send your images and information via email.
Images and payment are to be submitted by September 21, 2018, at 5 PM (no exceptions)
Submissions received after September 21, 2018, at 5 pm will not be considered.
How to Apply: Email your images, title list, and information to?? apply@newbedfordart.org
Images should be in JPG format and be between 72-100 dpi. Each file should be named as follows: Last name, first initial, number 1-3, and abbreviated title.
Emails should also include a title list which consists of the following: Name, Phone number, Mailing address, Email, Title, Materials, Size (LxWxH), Year the piece was created, and the declared insurance value.
Professional images are encouraged, as the juror will see only clear quality images and used for the exhibition postcard or on the website. Museum staff members are not available to aid in the editing or generation of images.

CATEGORIES FOR ORIGINAL ARTWORK
Painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, photography, ceramics, fiber, metals, glass, wood, installation, printmaking, performance and video.
- Video artists are required to provide their AV equipment with headphones.
??? Selected works intended to be hung on walls must be suitably framed and wired for hanging before dropping off at NBAM/AW!.
EXHIBITION RECEPTION
The Members Show celebration will be on Friday, November 2, 2018, 6 ??? 8 pm. The Museum will provide a cash bar and light refreshments at the opening.
RECEIVING OF ACCEPTED ARTWORK
Drop-off is October 22 ??? November 1, 2018, at 608 Pleasant Street, New Bedford, MA 02740. Artwork will not be accepted before or after the dates unless previous arrangements have been made. If you are shipping your work, it must arrive before or on October 22, 2018, with a pre-paid return shipping form. NBAM/AW! will not incur any shipping expenses. While the artwork is at the Museum, every reasonable care will be taken in the handling and storage of the works submitted. Artwork will be insured while in the Museum.
CLOSE OF EXHIBIT
Work may not be removed before the end of the gallery on the last day of the show. Work must be picked up between March 18 ??? 23, 2019 from 9 am ??? 5 pm. Work not picked up by March 23rd is left at owners??? risk and could be subject to storage fees of $10 per day.
