New Format at Community Meetings to Promote Public Engagement
First meeting to be held on April 4th, at 6:00 pm at Baldwin School
MAYOR DONALD GREBIEN
Pawtucket –In an effort to promote more resident engagement, Mayor Grebien has announced a revised format to the community meetings taking place this year. The first of the series will be held on Thursday, April 4th at 6:00 pm at Baldwin School.
“We want to increase public engagement as we go out into the community,” said Mayor Donald R. Grebien. “There is a great opportunity to have a two way dialogue. The new format will allow us to listen to our residents and have real conversations in a less tutorial setting .”
Past community meetings have consisted of a presentation from various departments followed by a brief question and answer period. The new format, successfully used by experts across the country, will allow you the residents to discuss issues in a focused setting.
