Flora in Stone: A Botanical Journey

“Stone carving is an ancient language—one of patience, strength, and transformation. My journey into this medium began in the studios of master sculptors and carried me across the marble-laden landscapes of Italy, where I learned to shape stone with both hand tools and pneumatics. Each piece I create starts as a raw, unyielding material, waiting to reveal its form.
Botanicals, my ongoing series, is a reflection of my deep appreciation for nature. These sculptures, carved from a variety of stones, abstractly interpret flowers, ferns, and plants, allowing each viewer to engage with the garden in their own way. The works evoke the rhythms of growth and renewal, mirroring the awakening of spring. Through texture, volume, and form, I aim to capture the essence of nature—its resilience, fragility, and enduring beauty.
Stone connects me to time itself. In every carve and curve, I honor both the past and the present, shaping each piece to invite interaction, contemplation, and wonder. Whether through the smooth grace of a petal or the intricate twists of a vine, my sculptures encourage a personal and tactile dialogue with nature, reimagined in stone.”

“My art is a heartfelt exploration of nature’s delicate symphony—the interplay of fins and feathers, water and wind. Inspired by the untamed beauty of Cape Cod, I find my muse in the windswept beaches, quiet marshes, and the vibrant life that thrives in every hidden corner of the landscape.
Every brushstroke is a meditation, capturing the fluid motion of a heron in flight or the shimmering dance of a school of fish beneath the water’s surface. I strive to breathe life into each canvas, using a vibrant palette and meticulous detail to evoke the resilience, grace, and ever-changing beauty of the natural world.
My work is not created in isolation; it is a dialogue with the community that surrounds me. Exhibiting at local cultural hubs has deepened my commitment to making art accessible and inclusive. I believe art has the power to connect us—to invite reflection, spark conversation, and remind us of our intimate bond with the world around us.
Through my art, I share a personal journey of discovery and wonder.
