SUMMER READING 2025 THEME:

Level Up at Your Library! Communitywide Summer Reading Kickoff (Friday, June 20): Join APL in Balfour Riverwalk Park on the last day of school from 1:30-3:00PM for this fun, free event.

Sign up for the Summer Reading Program; enjoy games, activities, and a parade that everyone can join; and visit information tables hosted by partners across Attleboro! (In case of rain, activities will take place inside the Library.)

Willett Elementary School Living Wax Museum (Tues., June 3, 9:30am): History comes to life! Third-grade students from Willett will portray historical figures from Massachusetts they have researched themselves. This presentation is an annual tradition not to be missed! Queer Lit Night (Mon., June 9, 7-8pm): Join Attleboro’s Council on Human Rights for an evening of sharing writing excerpts from your favorite queer authors. Come ready to read out loud from your favorite book, or just sit and enjoy!

Classics Book Group (Tues., June 24, 6:30-7:30pm): Introducing the newest APL book group! At the first meeting in Balfour Riverwalk Park, Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë will be discussed. This group will meet on the last Tuesday of every other month. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy!

History of the Beer Can: A Pop-up Museum (Wed., June 25, 6:30-7:30pm): Curator Kevin Logan will bring an assortment of cans from The Beer Can Museum in Taunton, including novelty cans as well as TV and movie props.

Games and Grub for Grades 5-12 (Thurs., June 26, 5:30-6:30pm): Another fun game night with Mrs. Witherell, pizza, snacks, and the card game Apples to Apples. Get the most green apple cards while playing this fun game. (Just don’t put them on your pizza!) Clay Day Play

(Mon., June 30, 1:30-2:30pm): Using air-dry clay, kids in grades 1-4 will explore texture and design as they press natural objects, stamps, and shapes into their clay to make unique, tactile art! Book Groups: Visit attleborolibrary.org to learn about the seven book groups that meet at the Library, or visit the Circulation Desk to see what titles are being discussed this month.
