ATTLEBORO PUBLIC LIBRARY

Celebrating with Pride!

By Amy Rhilinger on June 4, 2025 in CommunityDisplays

Pride Month offers the chance to learn more about the contributions of LGBTQ+ authors, inventors, and entertainers throughout history. The library wants everyone who visits the building to see themselves in library collections, programming, and services. We see you, and we appreciate you. Here is what YOUR library has planned to celebrate this month:

– Displays on all three floors highlighting LGBTQ+ authors and characters.
– Participation in Attleboro’s annual Flag Raising and Pride Walk on Sunday, June 1.
– Queer Lit Night on Monday, June 9, in collaboration with the Attleboro’s Council on Human Rights.
– Kanopy, the library’s film streaming service, will have a wide selection of LGBTQ+ feature films and documentaries highlighted this month.
– Finally, at the public service desks, find pins with PRIDE designs created by the community and APL staff.

We’re Open During Sidewalk Replacement

By Amy Rhilinger on April 28, 2025 in CommunityNews

The Department of Public Works is enjoying beautiful weather while they replace the sidewalks along North Main Street between Mechanic Street and Emory Street. While this important work is happening, the library will remain open for the usual hours. We assure you, visiting will be worth the little bit of extra effort!
