Join us every Wednesday starting June 25th through August 13th from 10 AM to 11 AM.
Our topic for this year will be The Preservation of History
This year we will explore how Indigenous history is preserved through frybread and other food traditions, through leadership, through traditional arts, traditional games, and more.
Each week, a lesson related to one of these topics will provide participants with an opportunity to hear stories, explore inside the museum and engage in outdoor activities with scavenger hunts, games, and arts.
Mission:
To educate all of our relations (everyone) on Indigenous cultures of the Dawnland (focus Southern New England) through engagement and shared dialogue to reconcile the past and empower present and future generations.
Vision:
All our relations will understand the history and culture of the Indigenous People of the Dawnland, recognize and understand the impact of conquest and colonization on Indigenous People today, and take action to create equity.
