Dear Pawtucket Residents,
Summer is in full swing, and we know how important it is to have fun—and stay cool—as the temperatures rise.

That’s why the City of Pawtucket is proud to offer a variety of free and low-cost options for families to enjoy the season safely and comfortably.
Here are some great ways to stay cool in the city:
Splash Pads & Waterparks – Our neighborhood splash pads are open daily and are a great way for kids to cool down and burn off some energy. Bring a towel and let them splash the day away! The Payne Park Splash Pad is open daily from 8:00 AM — 8:00 PM.
Veterans Park Pool – Open to the public and perfect for swimmers of all ages. Come enjoy the water and take a break from the heat. Pool hours are included below.
Slater Park Carousel – Take a spin on our historic carousel, open throughout the summer with free ride days and special events for kids and families. Don’t miss a full day of free carousel rides at Slater Park this Saturday, July 19, from 11:30 AM — 1 PM! Visit the Slater Park Facebook page for more information.
Summer Performance Series – Enjoy music, storytelling, and entertainment in the beautiful shaded settings of Veterans Memorial Amphitheater and Daggett Farm. Both are the perfect places for a picnic and a peaceful afternoon. For the full schedule and event updates, visit the Pawtucket Parks & Recreation page or the Daggett Farm Events on Facebook
Pawtucket is a city full of community, creativity, and care—and we’re committed to making sure every family has a chance to enjoy the season. Thank you for helping us keep the city vibrant and welcoming all year long.
Stay safe, stay cool, and enjoy your summer!
Sincerely,

Mayor Donald R. Grebien
