I’m excited to share that the Rhode Island Black Business Association (RIBBA) is launching a new program this fall right here in Pawtucket.

 Skill Up Pawtucket is a free, seven-month, strength-based workforce development initiative designed specifically for adults 18 and older who live in Pawtucket and are ready to grow professionally and financially.

RIBBA continues to be a vital partner in building economic opportunity, and this program reflects their deep commitment to equity, empowerment, and career advancement.

Whether you are:

Entry-level

Unemployed or underemployed

Or simply looking for upward mobility

Skill Up Pawtucket is a chance to gain valuable skills and confidence.

Free professional headshot

CliftonStrengths assessment

Resume building

LinkedIn and personal branding workshops

Financial literacy and credit building

Salary negotiation training

Leadership development

Emotional intelligence coaching

Key Dates:

Early consideration deadline: July 31, 2025

Final application deadline: August 22, 2025

Program begins: September 17, 2025

Sessions held monthly in the morning through April 2026
