Artist Talk: Rachel Gloria Adams and Ryan Adams

Sunday, September 21, 2025
2–3 pm

Free for Members, $5 for general public

Conference Room (Higgins Education Wing)

Speakers: Rachel Gloria Adams and Ryan Adams

This past spring, Rachel Gloria Adams and Ryan Adams transformed the massive hall at the heart of the Worcester Art Museum with their new mural, The More I Wonder, The More I Love.

At this one-time talk, learn how the artists blended their unique styles to reflect the core sentiment behind the mural, inspired by their young daughters. Having each grown up as one of few Black children in predominantly white environments, the artists reflect, “What was stereotypically expected from you as a young Black man/woman created these invisible boundaries around us that restricted us from partaking in certain activities and seeing ourselves as capable of doing anything we dreamed of.

We are trying our best to show our girls a world outside of those invisible barriers, when they are free to wonder and explore all that life can offer.”

Advance registration is highly recommended. A limited number of walk-in tickets may be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Walk-in entry is not guaranteed if the event is sold out.
