Looking for a chance to perfect your mud pie? Not bugged by bugs? Or maybe fossils or feathers tickle your fancy. Either way, you will have a BLAST(-off) at one (or all!) of our summer events.
Celebrate our Summer Event days with educator-lead programs, hands on drop in activities, and community partners!
Feeling bird-brained? That’s a good thing at Feather Fest! Join us to spy frequent flyers, use tools to simulate birds’ eating habits, practice your warbles, and meet a favorite feathered friend. Discover the fascinating world of birds on this day of avian adventure!
All summer events are included with admission!
Programs Schedule:
11:00 am – Meet a Barn Owl with Mass Audubon’s Rescue Raptors
11:45 am – “Cosmic Adventure” (Planetarium Full-Dome Movie)*
12:30 pm – Science Discovery: Wonderful Warblers
2:00 pm – “Astronomy Live!” (Educator-Led Program in the Planetarium)*
3:30 pm – “Habitat Earth” (Planetarium Full-Dome Movie)*
Ongoing Activities – 10:00 am to 4:00 pm:

There is always something new happening both on our grounds and inside the museum building. For maximum fun, take a trip on the Explorer Express train*, experience one of our daily planetarium shows*, or get up close to our resident otters*!
Train rides, planetarium shows, and otter encounters require a separate ticket and limited spaces are available; not included with admission.
