We invite you to wander through the oasis that is The Four Corners Arts Center Sculpture Park featuring an installation by visiting artist, Ellen Blomgren as well as sculptures from the permanent collection.
The Artist Reception for “Habitats” will be September 20th from 3-5 PM on the Meeting House porch 3850 Main Road, Tiverton. Ellen Blomgren will be available to answer questions and talk about her process and inspiration.
Ellen Blomgren: Habitats
Habitats is a series of figurative sculptures of children interacting with animals. With this series, I hope to convey a feeling of playful symbiosis between human and animal.
A sort of comradery where we can be roommates on this planet we share.
Built into each installed sculpture, are places for creatures to hide, live, feed or just enjoy a little respite with a nice view.
Visitors are encouraged to leave seeds, nuts and berries as gifts to entice our wild roommates to move in!
