Call for Art for the #Barrymore And Bristol Exhibit
Linden Place Mansion, in partnership with the Bristol Art Museum, is excited to announce a Call for Art for our upcoming Barrymore and Bristol exhibit, scheduled to open in January of 2026.
Linden Place Museum
A series of tableaux evoking the life and times of Ethel Barrymore and her daughter Ethel Barrymore Colt Miglietta, from their first visits to Bristol in 1910 through their later years, will be on display in the mansion in January and February 2026.
Each vignette will tell part of the story, touching on themes of celebration, women’s influence in the Progressive Era, changing fashion, early film, politics, and the connections among the Barrymores, Linden Place, Bristol, and contemporary America.
Artists are invited to create and submit original works of visual art that respond to the stories and themes presented. The deadline for submission is November 9, 2025.

Open to artists age 18 and older, there is no entry fee and cash awards will be given for first, second, and third place works.
