Dear Pawtucket Residents,

As the City of Pawtucket continues to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 to October 15, we invite you to join us for the Annual Community Impact Award Ceremony.

The event will take place on October 9, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Blackstone Valley Visitor’s Center located at 175 Main Street, Downtown Pawtucket.

We received dozens of worthy nominations, and we were pleased to see so many individuals making a positive impact on our community.

Pawtucket is Officially an AARP Age-Friendly Community!

Older Adults and Their Caregivers (aged 45+) Living in Pawtucket  Are Encouraged to Take Our Survey

We are proud that Pawtucket has officially joined the AARP Nationwide Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities. Thank you to all who attended our announcement event this week at the Leon Mathieu Senior Center.

We would also like to thank all our partners on the initiative, including: AARP-RI; Age-Friendly-RI; Office of Healthy Aging; LISC; City of Pawtucket’s Division of Senior Services; Pawtucket Senior Citizens Council; and the members of the Age-Friendly Pawtucket Task Force.

The City of Pawtucket is excited to collaborate with older residents and their caregivers (aged 45+) living in our city to ensure their needs are being met.
