Dear Neighbor,

On behalf of my family and the City of Pawtucket, I hope everyone enjoyed a peaceful and safe New Year’s celebration.
As we begin to tackle our resolutions for 2026, many small businesses might be looking to improve their property – and the City of Pawtucket can help! I would like to remind small business owners about the Pawtucket Business Development Corporation’s (PBDC) Facade Improvement Program.
This grant opportunity was created to help businesses enhance their storefront, attract customers, and strengthen neighborhood commercial districts. The program provides matching grants up to $2,000 for material costs to eligible businesses seeking to renovate or restore exterior features such as signage, lighting, windows, doors, and other public-facing elements.
This program is about investing in our local businesses and neighborhoods. A refreshed storefront can make a powerful difference, drawing in customers, boosting pride, and helping small businesses thrive.
If you are interested in learning more or would like to request an application, please call 401-728-0500, ext. 439.
Our small businesses are truly the backbone of our community. I thank them for all they contribute to our great city, and I encourage residents to support our local businesses whenever possible.
Warm regards,

Mayor Donald R. Grebien
