THIS WEEK’S MUSE
A Message from our Director: Wishing You Beautiful New Horizons in 2023

The winter solstice is behind us. The days are again lengthening, and we at the Cultural Center hope you are having a wonderful holiday season.
Last week, before cleaning up my desk and deciding which projects to work on over the holiday break, I took a walk through the galleries to remember all we accomplished together in 2022. With over 500 hands-on classes, 65 concerts, and 23 exhibitions, 2022 is one to remember.
But it is the people that I really remember; the mother who shared her story with me in the gallery, a grandfather who brought his grandsons in every week for art classes, and the music lovers that I see in the Great Hall each weekend.
I am thankful that my career has allowed me to help connect people with art experiences. Therefore, I will go into the coming year recommitted to the work of art centers and museums and a belief in the power of artists and creatives, who add beauty, meaning, and reflection to our lives.
Thank you for the support that is coming in daily through our annual campaign. Your gifts, large and small, go directly to the people and the programs at YOUR Cultural Center.
Here is my shameless plug if you still need to make a gift. You may make a contribution through our

And my New Year’s promise to you is that regardless of what 2023 brings, you can count on the Cultural Center. We have a diverse and fabulous exhibition and event schedule ahead of us and new and exciting educational experiences that will fulfill your creative itch and soothe your soul.
We will reopen on January 1 for the Winter Magic Antique Show and Sale, then reopen all galleries on January 9. We begin our year with “New from the Studio,” our Annual Members Exhibition, and “Dreaming in Nature,” an exhibition from three of our incredible artists, educators, and Rise and Shine mentors, Anne Hitch, Christine Martell, and Jessie Nickerson.
I hope you visit the Center soon and find something that helps you see the world a little differently, even if only for the length of your visit.
Happy New Year.
In creativity,
Molly
