ATTLEBORO ART MUSEUM: HIGH ART

The Attleboro Arts Museum held its Annual High

Art exhibition from May 14– 30th

2024 High Art showcased the extraordinary talent and ideas of high school students.

SEEKONK HIGH SCHOOL

“Cascade Of Grief”

This youth exhibition connected teens with artists both past and present, fostered the creation of original artworks, and provided a professional forum for students to voice their own creativity and work collaboratively.

The following awards, determined by juror Robi Wessman,a recognized artist of Norfolk, MA, were presented:

Best in Show – First Place:

Norton High School

Second Place:

Sharon High School

Third Place:

Barnstable High School

Title Sponsor Award, determined by Gary Lavoie, owner of Footworks Inc.

“Distortion Of Color”

Norwood High School

Visitors cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award during the exhibition. A total of 268 ballots were collected.  The People’s Choice Award went to Seekonk High School for their “Cascade of Grief” installation.

Attleboro Arts Museum:

The Attleboro Arts Museum involves audiences of all ages and backgrounds in theisual arts through diverse educational programs and engaging arts experiences.

We work to support the creative and artistic development of both promising and professional artists. The Museum is a privately supported, non-profit arts institution more whose core commitment to Arts for Everyone guides the Museum’s programs and operations.

Museum hours:  Tuesday – Saturday, 10am – 4pm.

Admission to the Attleboro Arts Museum is free; donations are always appreciated.
