Community Gallery artist exhibitions span multi-month periods.
This extended exhibition period provides member artists more exposure in the museum’s high-traffic Community Gallery space.
A longer show allows visitors to spend more time with the works on display and provides an opportunity for the scheduling of special group tours and visits with coincinding exhibits in the main gallery.

Local Scenes –
A Series of Paintings by Michael Evans will be shown. New England provides an endless supply of scenes to inspire any artist. From shore to meadow, to forest, to mountains, there is an abundance of easily accessible subject matter. Spring and summer provide a myriad of greens and blues to entice you out on the trails and off the beaten path to discover unexpected scenes.
“My work is an interpretation of the beauty surrounding us with the intent of drawing the viewer into the scene and distilling in them the same awe and inspiration I feel when out hiking.

At times the connection to the scene is so powerful, the painting takes over and tells me what it needs,” remarks artist, Michael Evans.
