GOT BOOKS?
Friends of East Providence Public Library are accepting books for their Fall Book Sale, scheduled for October 2 to 5, 2025 at Weaver Library.

Now is the time to drop off your donations.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit library programs, including museum passes, special projects and events.
Hardcover and softcover books in gently used and resalable condition are wanted. Books should have bindings intact and be free of writing, highlighting, tears, water stains, mold or mildew.
Especially in demand are recent novels by popular authors. We also welcome novels and non-fiction books on subjects such as art, sports, hobbies, crafts, history, home and garden, business, health, religion/spirituality and science. Paperback novels and romances are welcome.
Copies of books that have been banned over the years are needed for our Banned Books section.
These include classics, such as 1984, Animal Farm, Huckleberry Finn, To Kill a Mocking, Bird, Fahrenheit 451, Of Mice and Men, The Call of the Wild and The Lord of the Flies, as well as Sold, The Color Purple, The Giver and Brave New World.
Also welcome are children’s and young adult banned books, including Where the Sidewalk Ends, Harry Potter, Maus, Persepolis and This Book is Gay.
Oversize and vintage books are needed for our Special Selections and Collectors’ Corner section. Complete jigsaw puzzles and games in nearly new condition are also welcome.
The Friends do not accept encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest condensed books, spiral bound books or books in 3-ring binders. Text books for kindergarten to grade 12, cassette tapes and VHS tapes will also not be accepted.
Items to donate should be delivered in a sturdy bag, box or container during library hours to the Welcome desk at Weaver Library, 41 Grove Avenue, East Providence. Donated books should not be placed in the book drop.
