GREENWICH, RI: ODEUM THEATER REPAIRS COMPLETE – FALL SEASON CONTINUES

On August 17, a mechanical failure at the Greenwich Odeum caused an HVAC leak, sending water through the ceiling and onto the stage.

As a result, we were forced to cancel the final performance of our annual Children’s Theater Camp. With no other shows scheduled until September 12, our team — led by Operations Manager Rachel Kinnevy-Fitzpatrick — moved quickly to address the damage.

Working hand-in-hand with our HVAC and restoration partners, repairs began immediately. Thankfully, despite initial reports, the damage was minimal and could be resolved quickly.

Over the next three weeks, the stage was fully dried, the ceiling repaired (and given a much-needed fresh coat of paint!), and our curtains cleaned and restored.

We are especially grateful to the East Greenwich Building Department and the East Greenwich Fire Department for their continued support throughout the process.

The rest of our Fall Season will be unaffected.
