PAWTUCKET MAYOR DONALD GREBIEN

Dear Pawtucket Residents,

I am excited to share that the Pawtucket Redevelopment Agency (PRA) has launched the Downtown Gateway Project request for proposals (RFP).

This is an important step in continuing the tremendous progress being made along the city’s waterfront and will create additional amenities for residents.

This property represents one of our city’s most significant redevelopment and economic opportunities and aligns with our renewed vision for the downtown and riverfront area.

With approximately 20 acres available, this project will complement the exciting developments at Tidewater Landing and the remarkable success of Centreville Bank Stadium. As the city develops housing and enhances green spaces and recreational areas, we are eager to review the possibilities.

It is truly a transformative time to live and work in Pawtucket, and we are pleased to support new development opportunities while preserving the rich history of our great city.

Sincerely,

Mayor Donald R. Grebien

Connecting Community – Polish Flag Raising Ceremony

In honor of Polish American Heritage Month, community members joined Mayor Grebien at City Hall to raise the Polish flag and celebrate Polish food and culture. This annual tradition honors the proud history of Pawtucket’s Polish community and commemorates Poland’s restored independence in 1918. It was a meaningful tribute to the resilience, determination, and enduring traditions that continue to shape future generations.

If you visit City Hall this month, please be sure to stop by the display case near the entrance to view the beautiful art and cultural display created by Polish artisans.
