Thank You For Celebrating Native American Heritage Month
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Native American Heritage Month 2nd Annual Celebration, held at the Blackstone Valley Visitors Center.

The event, hosted in collaboration with the Providence Cultural Equity Initiative and the Rhode Island American Indian Heritage Commission, brought together indigenous leaders and tribal representatives from across our state. We thank all presenters for sharing their knowledge, stories, and traditions for all to enjoy.
The evening included a presentation of land acknowledgment, Pomham Singers performed Honor Songs, and the State Indian Act was also read.

Additionally, Mayor Grebien and Councilman Araujo, on behalf of the Pawtucket City Council, signed a proclamation declaring November officially as “Native American Heritage Month” in the great City of Pawtucket.
It was a wonderful celebration of Native American culture and heritage!
