The summer program for girls new to Girl Scouts includes mailed activity books, fun-filled family resources and access to events that help build early school readiness skills.

Warwick, R.I. (April 6, 2026)— For a second year, Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) is offering its Get Ready with Girl Scouts™ membership program for incoming Daisies entering kindergarten and first grade in fall 2026. Open from April 1 through July 31, the program provides girls new to Girl Scouting with a dedicated summer experience focused on friendship and early skill-building to help them get ready for the new school year.

Through the Get Ready with Girl Scouts™ program, girls who join by July 31 will build confidence, spark their imagination and develop skills they’ll build on as they grow as a Girl Scout. Participants will receive three engaging summer activity books, available in English and Spanish, shipped directly to their homes from June through August, along with a surprise Girl Scout welcome gift, while supplies last. The program includes family-focused newsletters filled with activities and caregiver resources, along with a Girl Scout membership that connects girls to events, new experiences, and friendships across the Girl Scout Movement.

Designed with young learners in mind, the Get Ready with Girl Scouts™ program builds essential skills through play, teamwork, and hands on activities that spark adventure and curiosity.

“Through the Get Ready with Girl Scouts™ program, we’re opening the door for girls across our area to begin their Girl Scout journey in a way that’s joyful, confidence-building, and full of possibility,” said Jordan Silva, Director of Membership at Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England. “From their very first experience, girls are connecting with new friends, exploring their interests, and building the confidence to take on their futures.
