Multigenerational Painting

Children ages 8+, teens, and adults may all register for this multigenerational painting course led by local artist John Irwin!

Project Chick

Come hear a presentation about chickens from Casey Farm, and even see a live chicken before we set up an incubator in the library.

Bollywood Color Workshop

Wednesday, Apr 22, 1pm on Weaver Library Lawn

Ages 3+

Come learn about Holi (which was celebrated this year on March 4) and throw colored powder in celebration. Participants are encouraged to wear white clothes so the colors can pop! The colored powder is completely machine washable, like sidewalk chalk. *This event takes place outside on the Weaver Library Lawn and is weather permitting with a rain date of Wednesday, April 29 at 1pm. Individual registration is required so we can get an accurate headcount for how much color to get.

Through Me 2 You Puppetry

Join Newton and the gang for Puppet Story Time! Newton and his puppet friends take turns reading stories and singing songs with the children. At the end of the 30-minute show, his “Mom,” Leigh, gives the kids a brief demo of various puppet styles (moving mouth puppets, glove puppets, arm & rod puppets, finger puppets). The children will then have an opportunity to explore some of the puppets Leigh & Newton bring to share during Puppet Free Play.

Preschool Development Activities

April StoryWalk

All day, every day, all ages – on the lawn at Weaver Library

Our April picture book is Maybe Something Beautiful by F. Isabel Campoy. StoryWalk® is a self-guided reading adventure that is available everyday for all ages. Pages of a picture book are displayed in frames on a trail around the perimeter of the lawn at Weaver Library. The goal of the StoryWalk® is to increase children’s interest in books and reading while encouraging healthy outdoor activity for all ages, and reconnecting children and adults to nature.
