I am pleased to invite you to join us for the official 2026 Rhode Island Arbor Day Celebration, taking place on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Slater Memorial Park – Kenny Tennis Court Complex (831 Armistice Boulevard, Pawtucket).
This special event, hosted by the City of Pawtucket, will bring together state leaders, environmental organizations, students, and community volunteers to celebrate the importance of our urban forests and their role in creating a healthier, more vibrant community.
The ceremony will include guest speakers, the presentation of Tree City USA Awards, and musical performances by our talented local students.
As part of the celebration, volunteers will plant tulip, cherry, and elm saplings, continuing our shared commitment to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of Slater Memorial Park for generations to come.
Arbor Day is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, reflect on the importance of environmental stewardship, and take meaningful action to protect our green spaces. I encourage residents of all ages to attend and be part of this festive and impactful day.
