THEATRE BY THE SEA ANNOUNCES
EXCITING UPDATE FOR 2026 SUMMER SEASON
WAKEFIELD, RI – Theatre By The Sea owner Bill Hanney is thrilled to announce a very exciting development regarding Theatre By The Sea’s upcoming 2026 Summer Season.

“We were offered an amazing opportunity to host the debut of a brand-new work at our historic barn theatre and I simply could not pass it up,” said Mr. Hanney. “Although I know theatregoers were looking forward to seeing On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio & Gloria Estefan, I feel quite confident that our patrons will be just as enthusiastic about the World Premiere of You’ve Still Got a Friend: A Musical Tribute to the Friendship of Carole King & James Taylor!”
Created by Tony Award®-winning producers, this concert event celebrates the music and friendship of Carole King and James Taylor, featuring beloved songs like “Fire and Rain,” “Natural Woman,” “So Far Away,” “Sweet Baby James,” “Carolina In My Mind,” and “I Feel the Earth Move.” Audiences are invited to an evening of iconic songwriting which captures the joy, warmth, and tenderness of these two soul-friends, whose music continues to resonate across generations.
Subscriber tickets will automatically be transferred and should arrive at subscriber households within the next few weeks. Subscribers may also take advantage of a very special offer, which is being sent via email.
