RIPTA’s Fall Service Changes Effective Saturday, August 29, 2026

Providence, Rhode Island – The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will implement fall service changes effective Saturday, August 29, 2026. RIPTA makes regular service adjustments three times a year in response to seasonal changes and/or passenger use.
2026 Fall Service Changes
Service adjustments have been made to improve connectivity and enhance on-time performance. RIPTA will also implement annual changes, which include trip time adjustments to Route 67; this route will continue to be free through October 31, 2026, courtesy of Discover Newport. RIPTA bus service to Providence public schools will resume for the academic year; visit RIPTA.com/PVDschools for details.
The following routes will be affected by the fall service changes:
| ROUTE | FALL SERVICE CHANGE |
| 13 (Coventry/Arctic/CCRI) | The 7:30 am Outbound trip will now depart at 7:35 am to allow riders to transfer from Route 22, which arrives at CCRI at 7:29 am. |
| 14 (West Bay) | The 5:35 pm Outbound trip will now leave at 5:40 pm. |
| 67 (Bellevue/Salve Regina University) | Fall/Winter schedule has been reinstated with trips every 30 minutes throughout the day. Service is free through October 31, 2026, courtesy of Discover Newport. |
