Providence, RI –U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse today released the following statement after Democrats won control of the Senate and the House of Representatives in a massive victory for the American people:
“It’s a new morning in America. People from every corner of this great country chose to give Democrats the chance to bring down costs and put a check on this administration’s corruption. We will not let them down.
“This happened because the American people don’t want a president engorging himself by looting taxpayers. They don’t want a Supreme Court, captured by the billionaire class, selling out our democracy. They don’t want a rogue Justice Department and masked goons terrorizing innocent Americans.
“We are ready for the hard work ahead to fix what’s badly broken and set a course for a new, brighter future for the country.”
