Doodlers Sunday, April 10?? ????? 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Explore drawing and doodling activities in Discovery Studio, the Museum???s hands-on art and science exploration space.?? Investigate a variety of materials and drawing tools, examine and draw interesting objects, create a doodle with a partner, and add to a large collaborative mural!
Imagination Playground Monday, April 11?? ????? 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM Kids invent their own ways to play as they stack and build with huge blue foam blocks, wheels, spools, tubes and a variety of loose parts.?? Construct castles and forts, invent interesting sculptures and more! Underwritten by Dominion Foundation.
Play and Learn: Making Music Tuesday, April 12?? ????? 10:00 AM – Noon Play and Learn is the Museum???s open-ended story-based program especially for 2- to 4-year-olds and their parents, designed to help preschoolers build their skills in a variety of areas and to help parents continue the learning at home.?? This week, preschoolers experiment with loud, soft, high and low sounds as they use simple instruments.

Toddler Try-It: Chalk Art Friday, April 15?? ????? 10:00 AM – Noon Young children, ages 18 months to 3 years, use real tools and explore the creative process as they delve into different hands-on art and science activities each Friday morning.?? This week, toddlers use chalk to create masterpieces on a board or dark paper.
RI Family Hiking Guide?? |?? MetLife Family Friday ALSO Friday, April 15?? ????? 6:00 – 7:30 PM Meet Jeanine Silversmith, author of ???The Rhode Island Family Hiking Guide??? and founder and director of RI Families in Nature.?? Learn about family hiking in spots across the state and draw, trace and sketch using natural materials as inspiration. The Museum is open free of charge from 5:00 – 8:00 PM for ???MetLife Family Friday ??? Free at Five!,??? sponsored by MetLife Foundation.
