B Attleboro public library

Thursday, August 11th at 6:30 pm, the Attleboro Public Library will welcome George Kelleher-Bianchi, to outline the history of the “Little World Series,” held from 1919 to 1923, between Attleboro and North Attleboro. Mr. Kelleher-Bianchi,??a graduate of Attleboro High School, will discuss??what brought these baseball legends to Attleboro starting in 1919. Why they traveled across the country at the end of long baseball seasons to play at Brady Field, Hayward Field, and Columbia Field? And why did the Little World Series suddenly end in 1923???This all-ages program starts at 6:30 pm. We hope to see you there!
