Weaver Library will commemorate the Centennial of the National Park Service with three events in August.
Roger Williams National Memorial Park Ranger John McNiff will begin the week???s celebrations with a talk on Roger Williams and his legacy on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 7pm in the Champlin Program Room of the library.
A Rhode Island native and archaeologist, McNiff has been studying the works of Roger Williams for more than 25 years. He has been with the National Park Service at the Roger Williams National Memorial since 1996. In 2014, McNiff received the RI Council for the Humanities Public Humanities Scholar Award for sharing his passion for Rhode Island???s unique history through countless programs that inspire students, seniors, community members, and visitors to our state.
