Students at St. John the Evangelist School in Attleboro took part in the New England Aquarium’s “Tidepools Alive!” and “Whale Day” Exhibit Programs, sponsored by the Richard P. DeCoste II Memorial Foundation.

Using interactive exhibits, students learned about the intelligence and biology of marine mammals, as well as how researchers study them. The younger students were engaged in ocean science while they explored local tidepool animals and learned basic biology and anatomy.

The program??s showstopper was a life-sized inflatable Right Whale which represented the St. John’s-sponsored “Calvin the Right Whale.”

Shown here with New England Aquarium representative, Crystal, are Finn McHale, Briana DiMarco, Clare Moore and Elise Sirard
