Make A Difference Foundation Donates 100 Turkey???s to this Annual Food Drive????

Pawtucket –?? Due to overwhelming generous donations and Pawtucket families in need, Laureen Grebien, wife of Mayor Donald R. Grebien, and dozens of community volunteers will distribute 700 turkey baskets on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at 80 Fountain Street (go to entrance on parking lot side), Pawtucket from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.????????

Around 1:30 p.m., today, Make A Difference Foundation, (GREAT VISUAL) will arrive bringing 100 turkeys to be distributed with a box of fixings, a loaf of bread and five pounds of potatoes. The 2016 goal of this nonprofit is to donate 3,000 turkey???s to food drives around the state, including the City???s Holiday Basket Drive.

First Lady Grebien says, ???Make a Difference Foundation continues to partner with us each and every year, bringing 100 turkeys to be given to our Pawtucket residents.?? Over the years, 1,000 turkeys have been given to our food drive, and we really appreciate their assistance, she says.

According to Make A Difference Foundation, 100 percent of the money contributions to their effort goes for charitable purposes.?? No part of the contributions goes to pay for the expenses of travel, storage or delivery of the food, all of which is performed by unpaid volunteers.

Besides the City of Pawtucket???s Holiday Basket Drive, Make a Difference Foundation donations of turkeys to other Rhode Island food drives includes: Camp Street Ministries, Providence Rescue Mission, North Kingstown Food Bank, Johnnycake Center, New Life Community Church, New Hope Church of the Living God, Lockwood Food Pantry, AIDS Care, Living Hope Assembly of God, St. Vincent DePaul, Olney Street Baptist Church, Park View Middle School, Johnston Senior Center, Project Outreach, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, St. Joseph School, Providence Housing Authority, Faith Fellowship, and John F. Deering Middle School.

Nearly 60,000 turkeys have been distributed by Make A Difference Foundation over the past 25 years.
