?????Adding modern management techniques to DCN???s long history of outstanding care for Norton-area seniors will ensure that the facility can expand on its important mission,?????Boroviak noted. ???We are pleased to have found an organization with such depth of knowledge to keep our small home running well.???

The Daggett-Crandall-Newcomb Residence is a not-for-profit Residential Care Home with roots dating back almost a century. The Residence has been at its current location, on five acres of conservation land along Newland Street in Norton, since 1968, and offers long-term accommodation and short term respite care for up to 28 men and women. The Rogerson partnership is a natural fit for the DCN Residence, the 27th property under the Rogerson umbrella. Rogerson, founded nearly 160 years ago, has a long history of supporting and strengthening non-profit senior housing programs, allowing them to thrive anew and fulfill their mission of serving elders compassionately, affordably and in well-maintained settings.????

Currently, Rogerson serves over 1,700 greater Boston families with programs providing greater independence and longevity to elders and low-income individuals. Pond Home, a non-profit Residential Care Home in Wrentham, has been successfully managed by Rogerson for over 25 years.

Rogerson is working to ensure that DCN will thrive in the changing housing landscape and be available to serve the future generations of the community. Under Rogerson???s leadership, DCN has hired a new executive director, Karen Blomquist, who brings a background in both healthcare and housing management as well as marketing and communications.

The Residence is also planning capital improvements and facilities upgrades, enhancing its activities program to include weekend recreation, and implementing restaurant-style dining for its residents.

Residential Care, the kind of care offered at the DCN Residence, is a unique option in long term care.

The DCN Residence provides accommodation, 24-hour nursing care and assistance with the activities of daily living for an inclusive price. Residential Care can be a perfect choice for someone who needs support to make sound decisions, as well as for someone managing chronic medical conditions like respiratory, cardiac or diabetes issues.

Often those struggling at home find a new vigor when they move to Residential Care, with its delicious home-cooked meals, laundry, maintenance, and housekeeping, medication and medical treatments administered as prescribed, and group activities and peer interaction are a regular part of each day.

The DCN Residence is now accepting applicants for admission as long-term or respite stay guests. Executive Director Karen Blomquist welcomes your calls at (508) 285-7944.

The DCN Residence offers Residential Care for seniors who seek a secure and caring environment while enjoying the companionship of their peers. The Residence is located just off Route 123 in Norton in a beautiful undeveloped setting.

The Home???s attentive staff offers 24-hour care and support for seniors who are no longer able to live safely on their own.
