WINSLOW FARMS WATER

Dear Friends,

G WINSLOW waterfall-lg

“Water is life, and clean water means health.”??– Audrey Hepburn

For more than 20 years, Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary’s mission to provide shelter for hundreds of abandoned and abused animals has never wavered. We have been able to continue our mission through the generosity of our many supportive donors and dedicated volunteers.

Today, Winslow Farm asks for your assistance again. We will be undertaking a new water project upgrade to create a more efficient way to provide clean water to our animals, including to all of the outlying areas the farm.

The information below provides the proposed project details. We hope we can count on you once again to assist us in completing this very necessary project.

Thank you for your continued support.

Blessings,

Debra White, President

WINSLOW FARM??WATER PROJECT

Areas of Winslow Farm’s water system are now over 10 years old. It is necessary to evaluate the system to??determine areas that need updating. Plans include upgrading water lines, repairing leaking water pipes, adding??outdoor water spigots where needed, and adding a hot water tank to supply hot water to the cat shelter.??We estimate the cost of the project will be $9,600.00, including the cost of labor, equipment and materials.

Additionally, running water needs to be??added to the cat shelter; this entails installing underground pipes,??adding a new sink and installing a hot water tank. The cat shelter is heated during the??winter??rmonths by pellet stoves and also houses other injured, aged or infirmed animals that might need to be kept extra warm for extended periods of time. The addition of hot water would enable volunteers to wash dishes, provide hot compresses??to animals that need care and melt frozen winter water buckets throughout the??farm.

Also needed are drainage tanks for runoff of winter snow and torrential rains in two of the barns. These tanks would??alleviate the danger of horses and other animals slipping on ice that freezes from the accumulation of storm water that currently has nowhere??to go.

Your donation is needed to support our project goal and will make a huge difference in the lives of our wonderful animals.

If you’d like to help, when donating, please specify that you’d like your donation to be used towards the “Winslow??Water Update Project”. Donations are accepted by mail, in person at the sanctuary, or online at www.winslowfarm.com.??
