Trains to Planes cruised in 2017 as more than 4,200 riders took advantage of the service to enjoy this year’s Air National Guard Air Show & Open House. Created as an effort to reduce traffic congestion at the Air Show, Trains to Planes allowed guests to experience the Seaview Railroad, Quonset’s cargo rail line.??

For over three decades Seaview Transportation, the Park’s rail provider, has been responsible for all rail service in the Park. With more than 14 miles of railroad track, the Seaview Railroad has provided tenants and shippers with a convenient and cost-effective means of transporting goods within the park as well as throughout North America.

Air-show-goers were able to catch a ride to the Air Show from Providence, T.F. Green station in Warwick, or from Wickford Junction right here in North Kingstown. The program was created in partnership with??Rhode Island Department of Transportation’s (RIDOT), RI Air National Guard, and MBTA.

Eric Moffett, president of the Seaview Transportation Company and Railroad, said he and his team are committed to furthering the growth and development of Quonset.
