Check out the Governor’s weekly video address here, and share it with your friends.

Every child deserves a safe and loving home, and an adult to watch over them. Right now, there are 250 children in our state who need a foster home. These kids have their whole lives ahead of them, and having a safe and loving home will give them a better shot at a brighter future.

Since 2015, we???ve increased the number of foster families in Rhode Island and fewer kids are living in group homes. We need to continue that work. If you can, please consider becoming a foster parent. For more information, visit http://www.dcyf.ri.gov/

Hi everyone. Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!

I???m here today at the annual Hasbro Day of Joy. Every year, Rhode Islanders from across our state come together to give gifts to kids in foster care so that they can experience the joy of the season. It???s one of my favorite events of the year because it shows there???s room in Rhode Islanders??? hearts for everybody.

After Ceci was born, Christmas felt different. It was always joyful, but experiencing that joy through the eyes of a child is just magical. It???s the best feeling in the world. If you can, please help spread that magic and become a foster parent.
