FOXBOROUGH, Mass. ??? The ninth annual Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50 road races and fireworks show will be held at Patriot Place and Gillette Stadium on Tuesday, July 3, to benefit One Mission, a pediatric cancer support foundation.

New England???s most popular and unique road races returns to Gillette Stadium for a ninth consecutive summer to celebrate the Fourth of July in patriotic fashion on the home turf of the five-time Super Bowl champion New England Patriots.

Hosted by Patriot Place and sponsored by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, the annual event features a kids fun run, which gives children ages 2-12 a chance to run a lap inside Gillette Stadium before finishing at the 50-yard line. New this year, each participant will receive a Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50 superhero cape to wear while they run. The other race options include a 5K race, which is run completely on the Patriot Place campus and a 10K race, which includes both Patriot Place and Foxborough roads.

Both the 5K and 10K races end with fanfare as participants emerge onto the stadium turf from underneath the Patriots inflatable helmet to the cheers of the crowd as they charge toward the finish line. Participants are shown on the stadium???s video boards and their names are called over the stadium???s PA system as they cross the 50-yard line and receive their commemorative medal.

???I cannot think of a better way to kick off your Fourth of July celebrations than by enjoying all the activities and fanfare we have planned around Patriot Place leading up to our three exciting races, which give runners the chance to run out of the tunnel at Gillette Stadium and onto the home turf of the Patriots,??? said Patriot Place Vice President and General Manager Brian Earley. ???The evening again will conclude with an awesome fireworks show that lasts nearly 20 minutes.???
