LTE: QUENTIN PALFREY

Dear Neighbors, Friends and Voters

G QUENTIN

Yesterday was an incredible day!??After a year of campaigning, I was tremendously honored to earn the Democratic nomination for Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor.

I am so proud of what we have accomplished together — and I am even more??proud of the kind of campaign we have run. At the start this campaign, we set out to run a campaign that remained consistently focused on vulnerable populations, social justice, and the fight against poverty and inequality.

In a divisive time, we also wanted to run a campaign that was respectful, civil, and focused on bold ideas about how to use government to solve the challenges facing ordinary people. And we wanted to run a campaign from the grassroots that truly respects, empowers, and includes voters and volunteers across the state.

As we turn in earnest to the general election campaign, I want to take this moment to say thank you — from the bottom of my heart — for your support in getting us to this point.

I also want to take a moment to thank and congratulate Jimmy Tingle, who ran an excellent campaign that represents the best of what the Democratic party stands for. Jimmy was a gentleman throughout the campaign who brought energy, insight, and an inspiring message. As we crisscrossed the Commonwealth together, Jimmy and I have become friends. I look forward to working with him in the weeks and years to come to promote the issues and values that we share.

We have so much more to do, and it is my tremendous honor to join with Jay Gonzalez, our terrific gubernatorial nominee, on the Democratic ticket to take back the corner office. Jay is the kind of bold leader Massachusetts needs to aim high and tackle important issues like building an economy that works for everyone and investing in transportation and education.
