URCC: FIRST ANNUAL WOMEN’S CONFERENCE

Plainridge Park Casino Hosts United Regional Chamber of Commerce???s First Annual Women???s Conference

Plainville, MA: The United Regional Chamber of Commerce (URCC) is holding its first annual Women???s Expo hosted by event sponsor Plainridge Park Casino on September 25. Plainridge Park Casino is located at 301 Washington Street, Plainville, MA. The Women???s Expo will be held at the Loft.

The event starts at 11:30, with registration and time to visit vendor tables. There will be a networking luncheon featuring Keynote Speaker, Massachusetts Gaming Commissioner, Gayle Cameron, who will be talking about mentoring and understanding your value to your company or organization. Cameron will be introduced by Jennifer Weissman, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Penn National Gaming.

Break-out session speakers include:

Ashley Pare of Own Your Own Worth who will present Negotiation: The Skills You Need to Succeed in Work and in Business

Shelly Berman-Rubera of Small Business Results who will speak about Women Succeeding in Business: A Tender, Tenacious, and Tactical Approach

Dr. Mary Medeiros of Thrive Adult Primary Care who will talk about Bringing Common Sense Back to Health Care??

URCC Board Member Jen Osojnicki of Better Living Real Estate will enumerate The Eleventy Hundred Reasons Why You Need to be Authentic on Social Media

???This is an excellent opportunity for women in the region to network and learn from the experiences and best practices of other successful women of varying backgrounds. We???re excited for the opportunity to work with the United Regional Chamber of Commerce and bring this event to Plainridge Park Casino,??? said Co-Chair Kim Rego, vice president of Human Resources at Plainridge Park Casino and member of the URCC Board of Directors.

???This First Annual Women???s Conference is a chance to promote and discuss the experiences and challenges of several women in business. We???re hopeful that this event will serve as a helpful guide and resource to women working throughout the region,??? said Co-Chair Rebecca Marshall-Howarth, member of the URCC Board of Directors.

Participants will be given the opportunity to attend two sessions as the sessions occur simultaneously in two tracks.

A URCC Alive After Five networking event at the Plainridge Park???s Slack???s Oyster House and Grille will follow the Women???s Expo, beginning at 5:00 pm.

The URCC Member price is $50; the non-member price $60.
